A Diversion

Until yesterday, when I read this, retweeted by Twisty, I had no idea Vanilla Ice covered "Fight the Power."

It's actually decent, with more of an industrial/rap-rock sound. "Nineteen eighty-nine"? No, it's the sound of 1998.



Likewise, the "Insane" cover. His delivery isn't as nasal as B-Real's.


"Jump Around" to a rocking guitar sound.


Interestingly, Ice sounds more like Chuck D here than on "Fight the Power." He kept most of the record-scratching but the industrial sound here is a bit generic.
