Being busy (for reasons I'll divulge soon), I hadn't heard about Animal Planet's mermaid "documentary" until a friend of mine called Monday and left a message about a program she figured I'd be interested in. I returned her call and she said Animal Planet had a show on mermaids and the evidence for their existence. So I tuned in and thought, Hmmm. More later.

(I wouldn't call the show a mockumentary, because it claims to present facts, although there was a disclaimer. Anyway, I saw a little bit then changed channels.)
