Learning New Things Every Day

Reading the comments at Hattie's Web today, I saw this: "a ... Fundie Cacklick running for PM in Newfoundland." The commenter is referring to this politician. After a few minutes wondering what a "Cacklick" was, I sounded the word out and realized, Oh, Catholic.

It's a beastly mispronunciation* used to ironic effect. (Cf. Jeebus.)
